James Chappellis an expert at making the experience feel safe and guided us every step of the way. He handled the direction so we didn’t have to over think what was expected. He posed us, adjusted the lighting, and gave clear instructions. The initial nerves melted away after the first few shots. I worried over appearance and flaws. The camera picked up details, but this excellent photographer used flattering lighting, angles, and gentle retouching to highlight strengths while softening everything I was self-conscious about. Skin texture and wrinkles in his professional hands, were beautifully incorporated and subtly smoothed without making me look like a plastic doll. James transformed my everyday self-doubt to feeling like a total queen once the Session magic happened. Our portraited embraced natural beauty with soft, flattering light. Mr. Chappell was able to show us the photos immediately and our reactions was pure joy and surprise at how beautiful he was able to make us look.
